Jeff and I, recently, decided we needed a new spice situation. The spice shelf was great, and all, but we needed more space, more spice, more life!
And so, I give you, our new spicy kitchen.
Can you guess who showed up as the spices were going up, just in time to save me from all the decision about which spices should go where??
I think we were satisfied with our decisions.
Is that Ikea? It’s fancy.
Surprisingly, it’s not. It’s a la Jeff. We went to the Home Depot to get the metal, and Jeff fashioned it into a spice rack. The containers we ordered online, and a fixed magnets to them.
Hahaha, for a minute I thought I was reading one of my various crafty blogs. Dear dear. They’re neat! And obviously should go in rainbow order. Or alphabetical, I guess. Or organized by what sort of cuisine you use them for most. hmm.
Yes, well. I am crafty! I organized them by color/cuisine, paying particular attention to put the hot spices far from reach, so I don’t overdo it. All the Italian spices are together, and the basics. Very organized, and some how works out color wise, too!
