It’s a new day. In this, our United States of America, we have proved that change will come. Has come. Will begin shortly, after a massive party in our Capital.<\/p>\n

An ode to Barack:<\/p>\n

Wake up, coffee brewing. It’s a new day.<\/p>\n

Shower, dress, make up. Oatmeal, with raisins. (new day.)<\/p>\n

Pour the coffee, make some lunch.<\/p>\n

The sun peaks over the horizon, and into my kitchen. (new, new day.)<\/p>\n

Kiss my fella goodbye (hello, new day.)<\/p>\n

In the car, streets are quiet. Anticipation. New day.<\/p>\n

Drive to work, half-hour early. For the new day.<\/p>\n

Walk to school. Everyone is quiet.<\/p>\n

Sun peaks out from the clouds, saying hello.<\/p>\n

Into work, into SJ’s office, watch the TV. Oh, hello, Barack. New day.<\/p>\n

Into the auditorium, watching with the Middle School. So quiet.<\/p>\n

Never again will such quantities of pre-teens be so quiet. New day.<\/p>\n

President Barack H. Obama. It has begun.<\/p>\n
