BTW, my sister is engaged. If this blog turns into a wedding planning blog, I am sorry in advance. But I know you’ll love it.
For your consideration: Travels with Charley is marvelous, and I am wondering why no one suggested I read it early?

Travels with Charlie was one of Auntie Patti’s favorites. She also loved The Pearl by Pearl S. Buck. They are classics. If you are on a Steinbeck roll, try The Grapes of Wrath. That’s another great one. And again, I will bring up my favorite and one of Auntie Patti’s too, A Tree Grows In Brooklyn by Betty Smith. She also wrote Joy in the Morning and Maggie Now. Two more great ones. I could go on and on. But, these are enough to keep you for awhile. Love you and happy you got our love of reading. When things are tough, it’s a good way to get away from it all. My sisters and I are all readers. It’s a gift.
It is so good!! I am throughly enjoying it, and I am glad Auntie Patti liked it, too. I also loved the Pearl, and I haven’t read Grapes of Wrath, but it’s on the list. I LOVE A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and made my whole book club read it, but I will definitely read Joy in the Morning and Maggie Now. Thanks Auntie Rose!
I LOVE A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN. And all the other Steinbeck mentioned. Truth fact: I read 7 books while on vacation. And I loved every minute of it.
Also, I am positive I have told you to read Travels with Charley. I read Tortilla Flat this week. I loved it. More Steinbeck, here I come (Auntie Rose- I also love the Pearl and Grapes of Wrath!)
