Cat used my flower bed as a litter box. I’m gonna kill it, if I find it.

This is what my neighbor said to me as I walked by his apartment building this morning. (And contrary to what I’ve said in the past about meeting my older neighbors in the street, I was actually running early, if you can believe it.)

It was pretty hilarious, and I did all I could from laughing out loud.

I have found in the past few weeks that as I have started running outside, I have become more familiar with my neighborhood, and extended neighbors. Although I am still waiting on a route that doesn’t include a million lights (the much needed break while waiting for a light to change is doing nothing for my endurance) I am enjoying the path. I basically run to the gym, and back, which is about 1.6 miles, and is a hilarious thing, if you think about it. Running to the gym. But it’s been cool enough out to do so, so I am counting my blessings before I am punished by 90 degrees and have to hop on a treadmill.

The running, by the way, is going. I run a little further each time, and want to kill myself a little less. I have tried to mix up my iPod mix, but I need a little help (mixes? suggestions? anyone? hello?) and I also have tried to make sure I actually stretch before I leave so I don’t get halfway and have to embarrassingly have to stop and stretch in front of the police station that is about halfway. So, we’re working on it. Feet have been hurting less, although I tell you I don’t understand how one person can sweat that much. Also, Nikki, the headbands you gave me are magical, and I can’t believe I lived without them.

In other news, last night I had a salad for dinner that was giant, in the biggest Tupperware I own, because “losing weight for weddings” is officially on. No dressing, just veggies, nuts, and fruit. I am on this diet for the duration. Minus Thursday, when I plan on eating the rest of the cupcakes that Mary and Rebecca made, because I can because calories don’t count on the day of your birth.

Tonight we’re back to yoga, since Sunday yoga was canceled due to the gym reflooring it’s classroom. In the next few weeks, I’ll be venturing to a new yoga studio that I bought a GroupOn to, so we’ll see how that goes.

Crow, here I come. What are you up to?

Today will be:

Today is the day of the birthday party. It will be:

trophies for five year olds. Soccer games where no one pays attention because it is the end of the school year, and i cannot wait for summer. Pictures with everyone, with my team, with the littles, with Rebecca. Home, dress up for the beach, load up the car, head to the grocery store, get the grill, beach. Volleyball. sand and air and sun and surf and friends and treats and people I love and fun. Sunsets, and pictures, and snuggles, and laughs, and smiles, and appreciating this LA family.

And so much more. Hope you’re weekend looks as good as mine does!

you disrespect us, in our own house?

Loves, it’s Friday. It’s the day after Jeff’s birthday. The day before the soccer finals and our birthday party. It’s National Doughnut Day. It’s a great day, this day. And so, because it’s such a good day, I share this with you:

The Daily Show With Jon Stewart Mon – Thurs 11p / 10c
Me Lover’s Pizza With Crazy Broad

Daily Show Full Episodes Political Humor & Satire Blog The Daily Show on Facebook

I couldn’t stop laughing, and can’t stop sharing this. It’s everything I love about being Italian, about being from the east coast, and being liberal, all rolled into one Jon Stewart post. Well done, sir.

In other Friday news, things I think you should look into:

1. Will Smith Pandora. Continue to “like” songs to optimize your station, to include Crazytown, Linkin Park, etc. You won’t regret such a good station for a Friday morning.

2. Adding to my reasoning for not liking cilantro. Thanks Becca!

3. Did you know if you hold CTRL + SHIFT + T the tab you just closed will reopen? Now you don’t have to lose that tab that may or may not have been important — or the last seven. Seriously, it works for LOTS of tabs. Try it now! (Also try CTRL + (number) to open a specific tab. This is handy if you are at work and shopping or writing on your blog and your boss comes in and you want to make it look like you were checking your work email. Keep your work email at the first tab for easy access.)

4. I have been noticing my shoulders hurting at work for the past two days. I believe this has something to do with stress, and I’ve been shrugging them up. I keep finding myself letting my shoulders go and noticing a HUGE difference. Where are your shoulder right now? Lower them. Roll them back. Sit up straight. Doesn’t that feel better? Also, in case you need some help, here’s a technique for relaxation breathing. I’m talking to all of you, even you Nikki, who cannot sit still.

5. Because I love you, and I know you’re all innovative, I think you’ll appreciate this.

My favorite?

Happy Birthday Jeff!

It’s Jeff’s birthday, which means the day of good Italian food, a delicious dessert, and lots of my saying, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”

Happy Birthday Jeff, and I hope you enjoy the clip. I am glad you were born so I could have someone to send me funny Internet videos and to help me when the dishes get out of control and to play tennis with, and to make watch bad movies. If I didn’t have you, who would fix my computer, make sure the kitchen was Jennie-proof, hike with me and then get coffee with me, and tuck me in at night? I love ya, and hope that the day and year bring fun, fun, and adventure.

In other news, things I want you to see:

That kid just has the right attitude.

June sunshine: 5gts

1. It’s June. Tomorrow is Jeff’s 27th birthday, which begins my favorite week of the year: the week between his birthday and mine, where I get to boast being a whole three years younger, until I turn 25 next Thursday.

2. This photo of Hanson in London. (Thanks, Cricket :). )

3. You rattle my bones. (You taste like sunshine.) This song. Especially his monologue…”This is a dirty song.”

4. This article. NatGeo, you intrigue me.

5. New albums. Summer soundtrack = started.
