Good morning, Tuesday. Coffee?

This morning, I got up early to help Corelyn get motivated. 6:10 rolled around, and my iPhone started playing Finlay MacDonald (imagine bagpipes at 6:11 am) and I begrudgingly got out of bed. I texted Cor, and proceeded to get the following things done:

– made coffee

-put dishes away

-cleaned the drying rack (does your drying rack ever get just gross? mine does…)

-cleaned dishes from last night’s dinner

-googled how to sanitize my sponge

-sanitized my sponge in the micro (only use of the micro I actually approve of)

-chatted with Corelyn for a few minutes about our evening plans

-wiped down the counters

-prepared/drank an Airborne

-sewed a hole in my sweater (because once I had it on I refused to take it off)

-put a run in my tights (which I then discreetly hid by rotating said run in)

-checked the weather, discovered ran is on its way

-made oatmeal

-packed breakfast/snacks/lunch

-packed gym clothes

-left 15 minutes early, arriving at work early, coffee FOR ONCE in hand.

Maybe I should get up an hour earlier EVERY day…

Monday morning: 5 Good Things

1. Soccer began again this weekend. Translation: hanging out with 4-10 year olds, Saturday morning, learning the basics of soccer. Referring, coaching, learning, stretching, loving.

2. Guys, Sam Summer is back in action, and here to stay until August.

3. Pizza night last night. Pictures to come. Including: Jennie lays  her own dough, and slides pizza into and out of oven. Success.

4. New planner. New space for planning. Planning for new things.

5. Farmer’s market: basil and rosemary plants. I cannot wait for May.

Bonus: 3 more PW recipes made. More to come.

It COULD be worse/Would you rather…?

So when I was in high school, I was notorious for making lists called “It could be worse…” that I would give to friends that were having a bad day, week, break up, etc. Once I gave one to my friend Jenn. Among the things that COULD be worse, I listed, “You could be short.” She is short. Whoops.

It was time to move on, to a new type of list. I had clearly passed my prime.

So in college, I was best known for making up “Would you rather…?” questions. I think that having these in my repertoire of “interesting things to pull out in an awkward conversation where no one is answer questions” is a positive of being me, so I’ve decided to bring them back.

For an oldie, but a goody, I will start with:

Would you rather…

a) live on a ceiling fan that was BIG enough for you to have a dorm-style room (desk, bed, computer, mini-fridge) but you could not control when the fan was on or off

OR

b) live in a sub-woofer? (once again big enough for you to have a dorm-style room.)

Please ask questions in the comments, and also don’t forget to answer. I’ll post a “Would you rather…” once a week, and promise to re-post some of the best comments!!

(Also, to kick back: it could be worse, you could live in Florida and have an alligator-infested swimming pool in your backyard that was SO overgrown that not even animal-control would deal with it.)
