New shoes, PT, new life

I got these new shoes. They’re danskos.

They have 2 inch heels and make me very tall.

They are very comfortable. They have arch support.

Meanwhile, I went to the foot doc today, and we did transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation which is a fancy way of saying they put an electric current through both of my feet for a while. Then, they did ultra sound on my feet, as well, to stimulate blood flow. Then I was wrapped up so I have arch support for 2-3 days, and I have excellent red and blue taping jobs. My feet feel better already, and I am hoping this will help my knees, calves, and ankles chill and go back to normal. We’ll see. Wish me luck!

A unexpected discovery!

On Thursday, as I mentioned, I went to the foot doctor to get checked out and see what was up with my feet. My doc suggested Dansko clogs, and so Friday I decided to order some. Liz and I were talking about sizing them, and how I needed wide ones, and so I went online to find out how to size my feet properly. We were measuring and came to an interesting discovery — that I am, or may be, in fact an 8.5 W, not a 10! Which is just excellent.

Liz and I have the same length feet (we were considered after we measured that the online chart was wrong) but mine are about 4 inches. Which, apparently, is giant.

These are my giantly wide feet. (See above.)

This is how we sized my feet.

Also this.

Also this.

The Dansko’s come today. I’ll let you know how that goes. Do you think that my feet are actually that small? It’d be a miracle!!
