Sometimes I stand in the copy room
And wish that I could spend summer like I used to: outside, summer sun, with friends, on the beach, in shorts. Then I am reminded of the great day I am having because every time I look down I remember yesterday, and purple toes.

New market in town
Yesterday a new market opened a block from work. Liz and I have been waiting for it to open since May, and I had been anticipating it long before then, when all we knew was that something was going there. It’s a fresh and easy. Greek yogurt, granola, and strawberries enough for three to four days of breakfast. $6.50. It’s a good day.
A new way to blog…for me.
Well friends, we’re in a new era. I am writing to you from my phone. It has a fancy WordPress application that allows me to write you any time I want. Much like Twitter I guess, only I can write as much as I want. Now anytime is a good time to write to you about my day. Right now I am at Starbucks drinking chai and about to finish my book. I am working from home this morning but the car had to go in for some checks, so I am waiting for it to be done. So I am going to enjoy the last hundred pages and then get to work! I swear. Happy Wednesday, all!
For your viewing pleasure, I’ve attached a picture if the crabs that Cor and I saw this weekend at the farmer’s market.
Summer is:

iPhone, busy weekend.
Well this weekend saw some busy days, and I feel like I need a break. Cor and I have decided to have a “Vacation from home” weekend coming up, which should be simple (but not necessarily easy) for us to do. Reading, Scrabble, etc. It shall be marvelous.
I got my fancy new iPhone, which is nice to have (I love having an iPod and games and all my contacts and the interweb) and I got to see friends old and new, and spend some time in the pool acting like a five-year-old. It was excellent. Listed on the “never to that again” list from this weekend: make 2 lasagnas in 90 degree weather. Check, got it, thank you Universe. 😉
My new phone!
This week, to do:
- Finish Catch-22, the book club book for July
- Laundry
- Eating through the leftovers in my fridge
- Clean my room
- RELAX.
How are all of your mid-Julys?
