Sleep Cycle: Friday to Tuesday

Some more sleep cycles, since Kelly asked…

Thursday – Friday

Friday – Saturday

Saturday – Sunday

Sunday – Monday

Monday – Tuesday

Overall I think this is working well for me. And, it gets me excited to go to bed, and wake up! I love waking up and seeing my sleep cycle, and I love knowing my average sleep a night, and seeing how I really did wake up at a good time in the cycle. Plus, the sounds you wake up to are SO soothing.

Anyone out there using this? Does any one like it? Thoughts??

Dream Post: haven't had one in a while…

…quite like this. Enjoy.

I had a dream: It opened with me and two other people in a shop of sorts, and we had to murder them. So someone, not me, shot a man at a bar, a woman, and her boyfriend. The woman and the man died, but were able to dance around afterwards outside the store, and talk about what had happened. Then this guy showed up with a bag and a knife that he shined at my friend (a knife/bag that looked like the one from Stardust, if you’ve ever seen that movie), and I was scared and started to run away but I could he grabbed me and took me. For some reason he needed me to be on his journey with him. We stopped at one place, and he did what he needed to do, (for a day or two) and then we went to another place, all the while staying in hotel rooms under cover. It was clear to me that he was magical. One night we were in the hotel room, doing a puzzle which apparently was part of this whole thing, and we got a message (magically) that we had to go, immediately. I remember trying to pack my bag quickly, and then I had too many pairs of shoes in my hand in case I  had to fight someone in the hallway. I also had to ask if I could get my stuff for my glasses because I had had my contacts in my eyes for days, and I was getting tired of that and wanted to put my glasses on. We were headed to the airport. So we were in the airport, and I didn’t know where we were going, or what the person’s name was I was with. So he goes to check where the gates go to get to the airport, and I am waiting, and then I start looking around, and then all of the sudden someone has taken my suit case, and my luggage tag, and the person that took my luggage tag was with Ice-T. I was very mad, and yelled at the airline people, but then I realized I couldn’t do anything about it because I could tell them my name or where I was going so I would never get my stuff back. So I was very mad, and decided to scream as loud as I could, and then Jeff was there (and magically was the guy I was originally with) and he told me to calm down, but I didn’t want to so I climbed up a building with levels and inside they were shooting law and order: svu. Then I was on the top level of a department store that was HUGE and had stuff in it, and I was falling from maybe level 10 ish? and was falling and looking at all these things, (one of these things was Oprah kitchen stuff) and then when I landed I was in some kitchen section. So this woman who worked in the store asked me if I needed help and I told her that I needed to find who I was with and I wasn’t sure where I was going. She asked if I was going to Manhattan (she was sure I was for some reason) and I said no, because I was just there with him, so she took me around and I started yelling “Jeff?” and they took me into an auditorium, and Elliott, my friend, was there, and I knew I knew him but not his name, but he shook his head at me, saying “No” as if he wasn’t the one I was looking for, and then I kept saying “Jeff?” and finally found the guy I had been with, who was named “James” not Jeff. Then we got on the plane to the next place….

The end.

Dream Post: A wedding, roller skates.

rollerskatesI had a dream:

I was at my friend Bec’s house, and we were getting ready for a wedding for one of her friends. We were getting dressed, and knew it was time to go to the wedding. So we headed to the church or the hall, which was very close to the house we were getting ready in, and I went over with my roller skates. That apparently I was OK at. Then there was an African American man who was standing in the middle of the street, who was very nice but apparently dangerous. He was talking to me without moving his mouth, so I thought he was telepathic with me, but apparently everyone could hear him. Very strange, indeed.

Then I got to the church and we were taking pictures of the bride alone, and we were all laughing, and I realized that my camera’s battery was dying. Then I realized the camera I was holding wasn’t even mine. So I went back to the house, on my roller skates, to get my camera. On the way back, I realized I was driving a car but I was in the passenger seat, so I went to climb over and drive and suddenly Jeff was in the car with me. He kept driving past the church, saying he forgot something, and he was driving to Hartford. I don’t know why I knew it was Hartford, but it was. Meanwhile, I guess the wedding must have been somewhere in Virgina, since that’s where Bec is from.

Then he kept saying he’d get us back to the church before the ceremony was over, and was explaining to me why he had to break up with me, and used the roller skates as an example.

Then I woke up.

Reasons? I have no idea. And, I must say that after such a dream dry spell, although these dreams are weird, it’s kind of nice to have them back.

Dream Post: Africa

I had a crazy dream last night!

I was on my way to work  (I still worked at the Toy Store) and I was on the subway, and when I got to work it looked like a different store.

Then I was working with my friend R, who turned into my sister. She and I were going somewhere suddenly we were in Africa with a group of people, including a coworker, E. He was making sure we did what we were told, because apparently we weren’t approved to be wherever we were. We were traveling to a village, and my sister mentioned that no one had told us, but we had to leave right away because there was going to be an attack on the village we were in. We were in a building that was made of straw and had two floors,  and we were trying to get to the second floor when we heard commotion and a crowd outside. We ran to the second floor, which was the out, and there were US soldiers there who were going to help us get out. We were so relieved to see those soldiers, and the one who opened the door had been a lovely young woman. They were all dressed in camouflage but their name tags looked old, as though they had been printed in the 50s or so.  As we were meeting with the soldiers, my sister turned into my friend Cor.

THEN: Cor and I were then sitting in a room with her husband. We were explaining the event of escaping to him, but we knew it had been a dream, and we had both had the same dream. He didn’t believe that we knew all these things about each other’s dream, but as we continued on we convinced him that we had actually had the same dream.

Then I woke up.

Reasons? I was setting up “faces” last night on my iPhoto, which lets you put people’s names into iPhoto and then it finds other pictures of that person, and iPhoto kept thinking Cor was my sister, and vice versa.

Also, I am reading The Poisonwood Bible which is about a mission to Africa.

Five Good Things: Nighttime edition

me

Five good things about night time:

1. The temperature outside cools, the moon comes out, and LA becomes calm.

2. I get to wear PJs, my fave thing, including a pair of GAP boxers with skiiers on them. Fabulous. (I also like the ones with toucans on them.)

3. I get to prepare myself for tomorrow, which usually involves making some sort of list AND wrapping up leftovers for a yummy lunch for tomorrow!

4. I inevitably read a few pages of something, whether it’s news I missed during the day, a friend’s blog entry, a page or two of the book I am reading, or captions of National Geographic photographs.

5. I get to cuddle up with my bf, J.

What are your favorite things about nighttime?
