iPhone, busy weekend.

Well this weekend saw some busy days, and I feel like I need a break. Cor and I have decided to have a “Vacation from home” weekend coming up, which should be simple (but not necessarily easy) for us to do. Reading, Scrabble, etc. It shall be marvelous.

I got my fancy new iPhone, which is nice to have (I love having an iPod and games and all my contacts and the interweb) and I got to see friends old and new, and spend some time in the pool acting like a five-year-old. It was excellent. Listed on the “never to that again” list from this weekend: make 2 lasagnas in 90 degree weather. Check, got it, thank you Universe. 😉

This week, to do:

  • Finish Catch-22, the book club book for July
  • Laundry
  • Eating through the leftovers in my fridge
  • Clean my room
  • RELAX.

How are all of your mid-Julys?

5 Good Things & 5 Annoying Things

We’ll start with the annoying ones, because we love to end on happy notes.

1. When I read things like “Women’s Health” and look at articles that gurantee I’ll lose some pounds just by eating better and right (ie “Don’t drinking soda (check) and look out for sodium, sugar content, and carbs. Check, check, check.)

2. Living in LA with people who are walking around Hollywood like it’s Times Square — only Hollywood and Highland is dirty, and no one should go there.

3. When your job knocks a building down, and you have to leave your office, and they don’t send you home even though that’s all you wanna do!

4. Band aids that rip your skin off.

5. Bike grease.

5 Excellent Things:

1. Going to Becca’s tonight to have dinner with Jeff, Bec, Jen, and Paul.

2. Going to the Third Eye Blind concert TOMORROW.

3. Going home on Friday.

4. A clean desk at work since it’s slowed down enough for me to catch my breath.

5. Third Eye Blind’s new CD, August. (eeeekkk!!)

Plant Update!

After seeing K. Sue’s plant update, it occured to me you might be wondering how my little guys are doing. Are you wondering? Well, let me show you some new pictures:

This guy died a little. He’s the same as the thriving Gerber daisy, so I have hope, but right now I am stroking his ego and letting him dry out.
